In 2019, he obtained his Ph.D. in Arable Crops from Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, focusing his thesis on determining the in vitro and in vivo antifungal efficacy of essential oil microemulsions against Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, the causal agent of white mold disease.

Dr. TĆ¼rkmen began his academic career as a Research Assistant at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University’s Faculty of Agriculture in 2016.
