Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alicja Nowaczyk | The Head Of The Department Of Pharmacometrics And Molecular Modeling | Nicolaus Copernicus University | Poland
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alicja Nowaczyk is an accomplished Associate Professor at the Department of Organic Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ludwik Rydygier Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland. She is a leading expert in pharmaceutical and medical sciences, with extensive research in computational chemistry, molecular modeling, neuropharmacology, cardiovascular pharmacology, and predictive modeling of biologically active compounds. Her scientific pursuits focus on molecular interactions related to GABA transporters (GAT), monoamine transporters (MAT), voltage-gated ion channels (VGIC), cytochrome P450 (CYP), receptor tyrosine kinases (RTK), and guanylyl cyclase (GC). Over the years, Dr. Nowaczyk has published 61 scientific documents, which have received 1,094 citations from 998 sources, reflecting her academic influence and international recognition. Her h-index of 18 and i10-index of 39 demonstrate consistent research productivity and citation impact, while since 2020, her performance has further increased with 1,421 citations and an h-index of 20, marking her as a prominent figure in computational pharmacology. She leads the Department of Pharmacometrics and Molecular Modeling, supervising several Ph.D. theses, coordinating collaborative research, and mentoring international scholars. Dr. Nowaczyk’s contributions to science are recognized through numerous awards from the Rector of Nicolaus Copernicus University and the Minister of Health, as well as through her role as a reviewer for over 200 international scientific manuscripts across major publishers like Elsevier, Springer, MDPI, Wiley, and Taylor & Francis. Her ongoing projects continue to integrate AI, machine learning, and in silico modeling into modern drug discovery and safety pharmacology.
