Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Saad kadhim is a clinical microbiologist and immunologist whose work focuses on the complex interplay between host immune responses, microbial pathogenesis, and inflammatory processes in human disease. His scholarship spans clinical, molecular, and serological immunology, with particular emphasis on cytokine gene polymorphisms, autoantibodies, inflammatory biomarkers, and immune dysregulation in infectious and chronic disorders. He has contributed significantly to understanding immune responses in COVID-19, IgA nephropathy, obesity-related immune alterations, rheumatoid arthritis, PCOS, preeclampsia, and fungal infections in vulnerable populations, integrating biochemical, genetic, and clinical indicators to explore disease mechanisms. His work often bridges clinical investigation with public-health-relevant outcomes, particularly in immunological conditions affecting women’s health, metabolic disorders, and infectious diseases. He also holds a registered patent for culture-media development and a scientific certificate in semen analysis evaluation, demonstrating applied laboratory innovation. Through interdisciplinary approaches and collaborations, he advances insights in immune regulation and disease biomarkers, contributing meaningfully to diagnostics, prognostic evaluation, and understanding immunopathogenesis across diverse clinical conditions.
