Dr. Adel Ashery Saleh Khalil, is an eminent Egyptian physicist currently serving as a full-time Professor and Head of the Department of Solid State Physics at the National Research Center, Cairo, Dokki. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the Leningrad Institute of Electronic Engineering , following a Science Diploma from Russia and a Bachelor of Science degree from Cairo University . His scientific expertise lies in the preparation and characterization of single-crystal devices and thin films using advanced techniques such as liquid phase epitaxial technology, electrochemical ionization, photolithography, diffusion furnaces, sol-gel, and chemical vapor deposition. Over his distinguished career, Dr. Khalil has contributed significantly to the fields of solid-state physics and materials science, particularly in developing heterojunction structures, dielectric materials, and nanocomposites for electronic and optoelectronic device applications. He has authored 89 scientific documents, accumulating 996 citations from 617 sources, with an h-index of 17, demonstrating his impactful research contributions. His publications appear in leading journals such as Physica B: Condensed Matter, ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology, and Nanotechnology Reviews. Dr. Khalil’s research provides crucial insights into dielectric tunability, negative capacitance, and high-dielectric materials, which are vital for future electronic device innovations.
